On wednesday we went to visit Disneyland for the first time! We were so exited! it doesen't really take much to get me exited, though! Give me a pastel painted place and some nice carousels with horses on them and I'm in! Anyways, I had big expectations of going there, as it's a childhood dream coming true! We had some great company too: Agla and Bergur from Iceland! They are experienced Disneyland-goers, and shoved us newbies the best ways to get around this magnificent place! On our way into the park we were greeted by this promising sign:
Lovely!
Inside the park we meet Walt and Mickey! Such nice people! A little silent, though...
There were different forms of transport there too! This one's my favourite! I love horses, so there's no wonder why there's a picture of one in this blog post.
Me and Karl in front of the castle! It was a bit smaller than I expected, but It's probably because I've seen pictures from the one in Paris. Apparently, the castle is bigger in Paris. Anyways, it was pink an pretty, and I liked it a lot!
...and the cutest couple, Agla and Bergur :)
Entering Tomorrowland! There we met Buzz Lightyear, R2-D2 and C3PO, among others!
This is how we look inside the Space mountain. That ride was awesome!
We also went to the Haunted Mansion, which happened to be my old friend Jack Skellington's house! Yay!
This is the utterly charming paddle steamer "Mark Twain", who puffs his way around in the waters of Frontierland. We'll have to go for a ride on this one the next time we go to Disneyland! After hanging around in Frontierland, and getting soaked (well, some of us at least) in Critter Country's Splash Mountain, we moved on to Fantasyland.
So, does anyone fancy a nice cup of tea?
We experienced a bug's life.
We also got to see the Disneyland parade! A fantastic show with music and dancing with a well of colors and spectacular costumes! I love it!
No doubt who's coming here!
...the princesses, of course!
Cinderella and Belle seemed to be having a good time!
Simba was there!
And some random flamenco dancer. Haha!
Masked butterflies leading New Orleans princess Tiana's parade!
And here's the princess herself! I must say she's my favourite Disney princess these days. It might have something to do with her movie being stuffed with jazz music and Charleston dancing! I love it! If you haven't seen The Princess And The Frog yet, please do! You'll love it!
Princess Tianas trumpet playing crocodile (or alligator?) buddy was also there!
And Mary Poppins. What's that word again? - Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
All in all we had a fantastic first time in Disneyland! (We actually wore badges that said it was our first time!) We have bought an annual pass, so we're definetly going back! The place is huge, so of course we didn't see the whole thing! Though, we would have seen less of it if it were'nt for our experienced friends! Man, they know how to get around Disneyland! A year from now we'll hopefully know the place better ourselves.
Have you been to Disneyland?
